‘NO GOOD WINE WITHOUT GOOD GRAPES’ IS OUR MOTTO.

Everything is put in place to respect this maxim.
In our family, taking care of our land and growing grapes is not just a passing trend.
We have gained humility from both our ancestors and our own experiences when confronted with the strength of nature. Listening to nature and respecting traditions and the land have always been part of our way of doing things.
These values are deeply rooted in our genetic heritage, passed down from generation to generation. Every plot in our vineyards undergoes meticulous observation, plot by plot, in every season of the year.
Our timeless motto, ‘no good wine without good grapes,’ continues to guide our actions. Within our estates, we have had the privilege of preserving this tradition. However, we also embrace our commitment to the technical and scientific advancements made over the past five decades, progress that now allows us to offer you the best of our wines

THE GRAPE HARVEST
The harvests are one of the most important moments in our profession as they are the culmination of an entire year’s work.
Each and every vine stock is carefully tended throughout the growing cycle to ensure the highest quality fruit come September.
The date for the start of the harvests varies depending on the weather conditions over the year in general but also on the micro-climates of each individual plot of vines and terroir.
Around thirty grape pickers come to support our team in harvesting the fruits of a year’s labour, which includes various tasks such as pruning, tilling the soil, debudding and leaf removal.
OUR AMBASSADORS
Our loyal customers, both private individuals and professionals, are the foremost ambassadors for our Menetou-Salon and Sancerre wines. The distribution of our wines is entrusted to a traditional network: restaurateurs, wine merchants, sommeliers, oenologists, etc.
These professionals are all motivated by the same passion as the team of Domaine Châtenoy: over time to share, to discuss, to talk of joy and sorrow, and always with the greatest conviviality. The list of professionals who distribute our wines in your region will be sent to you on demand.
